We chose to support the SAFE Alliance in Austin as our philanthropy because of their deep-rooted impact in helping survivors of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, and trafficking.
SAFE is short for “Stop Abuse For Everyone” and was officially formed in 2017 through the merger of SafePlace and the Austin Children’s Shelter, both of which have served the community for over 45 years. Their mission is to create a just and safe community through shelter, counseling, housing, legal advocacy, and violence prevention.
As volunteers, we can support SAFE by helping with family events like carnivals and movie nights, assisting with food donations by sorting and distributing items, and creating SAFE packages, care kits filled with toiletries and essentials for families in crisis.
Over the past decade, SAFE has reached thousands of survivors, providing essential services and leading transformative impact in Travis County and beyond.
SAFE gives us meaningful ways to contribute directly to the healing and well-being of those affected by abuse.
